Methodology

Emmanuel Ministries Calcutta’s holistic approach encompasses education, value and moral instruction, health and hygiene, nutrition, medical assistance, recreation, counselling, and vocational training.

EMC’s strategy is Prevention, Intervention, Rehabilitation and Reintegration for

  • Individuals who are victims of self-destructive lifestyles.
  • Children at Risk for exploitation and abuse.
  • Marginalized groups who seek an alternative lifestyle.

EMC considers each of its beneficiaries as members of an extended family. Each member of this family is empowered through integrated services offered by our three sister organizations.

The Calcutta Samaritans – A registered charitable society involved in crisis intervention for people in distress.

Arunoday Midway Home – A registered charitable trust for the treatment and rehabilitation of people with dependency on drugs and alcohol.

The Calcutta Emmanuel School – A formal English medium high school educating and empowering the poorest of the poor children in Kolkata.
