Mrs. Premila Pavamani, President

Premila, along with her late husband Vijayan Pavamani, founded EMC in 1971. Both of them shared the same dreams and vision for this ministry and worked together right until Vijayan's tragic and sudden demise on August 20th, 2006. Currently, she is the President of Emmanuel Ministries Calcutta and works for the same ideals that she and Vijayan outlined so many years ago. She is highly respected and loved by all those who work with her.


Mr. Shajan George, Executive Director

Shajan has worked with the organization and has provided integral leadership, loyalty and support for the past 40 years.

Mr. Finney Thomas, Trustee / Chairman

He is an Electrical Engineer from IIT Kharagpur. He is currently the CEO of Jatiyo Krishtiyo Prochar Samity, a registered charitable organization.


Mr. Sunil Dev Roy, Trustee

He is a Deacon of the Assembly of God Church, Kolkata, and Director of Vivada Inland Waterways Limited.


Bishop Alfred Franks, Trustee

He is the retired Managing Trustee of Operation Mobilization in India, a charitable organisation. Operation Mobilization is involved in various humanitarian efforts within India.

Rev. Dr. Tony Sargent

He is the Principal Emeritus, International Christian College, Glasgow. Dr. Sargent served in the pastoral ministry at Worthing Tabernacle for 28 years, between 1970 and 1989. He dedicates much of his time and effort to humanitarian work in India.


Mrs. Ilora Barik Sil

She is an MSW and M.Phil from NIMHANS, Bangalore, with experience in working with vulnerable groups of the community including psycho-social intervention in addicts, family and marital therapy.
