At Emmanuel Ministries Calcutta (EMC), we are committed to empowering vulnerable individuals and communities, creating opportunities for transformation, and fostering long-term, sustainable change.
Our focus areas center on providing holistic support for Children in Street Situations (CISS), mothers, youth, and marginalized families.
The projects are implemented through:

Education
We provide formal and non-formal education to children and adults, offering tuition support, adult literacy programs, and scholarships for school fees to ensure that every child has access to quality education.
Food & Nutrition
We provide hot meals, snacks, and grocery kits to children and families in need, focusing on nutrition through partnerships with local programs like ICDS (Integrated Child Development Services), which offers food, education, and health services to children under 6 and their mothers.
Health & Hygiene
We provide healthcare services, medical assistance, and health awareness, promoting hygiene education to improve the well-being of children and families while reducing disease and improving living conditions.
Skilling & Livelihood
We offer vocational training to youth, equipping them with skills for sustainable employment. Additionally, we support women in creating livelihoods through skill-building programs and income-generating activities, fostering financial independence.
Art for Wellness
Our Art for Wellness program encourages creative expression through dance, drawing, painting, singing, and drama, promoting emotional healing and self-expression for children and adolescents.
Rehabilitation & Recovery
We support individuals in overcoming substance abuse, exploitation, and neglect through tailored programs for juvenile recovery, child protection, advocacy, and counselling, ensuring a path towards healing and reintegration.
Interim Shelter for Urban Homeless
In partnership with the government, we offer shelter to those in urgent need. Our interim housing shelters provide a safe haven along with meals, counselling, and rehabilitation services to help individuals rebuild their lives.
