Pavement Club

The Pavement Club provides support to Kolkata’s Children in Street Situations (CISS), offering them a safe space for education, nourishment, and development. These children, many from slums or having migrated from neighbouring states, are brought to the club daily by a bus, where they receive non-formal education, two nutritious meals, and access to health services, including immunization and medical care.

The project also includes Art for Wellness—a therapeutic program using art, crafts, dance, and music to help children cope with the challenges and trauma they face. Home visits and monthly mothers’ meetings foster community involvement and raise awareness on health, hygiene, and child protection. Adult literacy classes are available for the broader community.
