A New Sound of Hope: Saptami’s Story

Eight-year-old Saptami recently joined the Ashar Kiron Project. Living with her grandmother, she had long struggled with hearing loss in her left ear. What once felt like a silent barrier is now a new sound of hope.

Her grandmother explained that they had tried many treatments before, but nothing worked. Over time, she had lost hope that Saptami would ever hear properly. This challenge limited Saptami’s ability to learn in school, communicate with others, and engage in daily life.

Determined to help, the Ashar Kiron team discovered that a children’s hearing aid was available at the Head Office. They coordinated the process swiftly and provided the device to Saptami on July 18.

That moment changed everything. For the first time, she could hear clearly. The joy on her face, mirrored by her grandmother’s relief, was unforgettable. Saptami now proudly shows her hearing aid device to others and participates more actively in learning and activities.

The Ashar Kiron Project is committed to more than academic support. It focuses on holistic child development, ensuring every child’s physical, emotional, and social needs are addressed. By supporting children like Saptami, the project brings dignity, growth, and hope to families and communities.
